Preparing Today's Child for Tomorrow's World

Materials Distribution

Dear Families,

I wanted to update you on an important change to our calendar and our distribution plan for materials.  We have moved our virtual live question and answer Back-to-School Night session with teachers from August 24th to August 31st. The time for this live virtual session is 5:30pm to 6:30pm. The change in date is to accommodate our learning kits and device distribution on August 24th and 25th.  If you have enrolled in PSD Virtual, your pick up date and time is August 21st from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.

On August 24th and 25th, we will distribute learning kits and requested learning devices.  Your child’s teacher will reach out to you through SignUp Genius for a 20-minute appointment.  You will go directly to your child’s outdoor classroom door rather than come through the building.  We will have people available to help you.  During this appointment, you will have one on one time with your child’s teacher.  Between each appointment, we will follow a sanitization routine.  The appointment is designed to allow the following:

  1. You and your child get to meet with the teacher.

  2. You will take a first day of school picture.

  3. Your child will receive a “learning kit”.

  4. Your child will receive a learning device.

  5. The teacher will teach your child how to log onto learning.

  6. Other activities that are appropriate for your child’s grade level.

We expect the following during this time:

  • The 3 W’s are adhered to:

    • All must WEAR a mask (with the exception of those under 2).

    • Watch your distance and respect the 6 ft distance edict for other families

    • Wash your hands before and after your visit.  We will have hand sanitizing stations ready.

  • Siblings are kept under the control of the parent and are not allowed to wander the room.  We have worked hard to sanitize and create safe environments.  Please help us maintain your safety, your children’s safety, and ours.

If you have questions, you can email your child’s teacher or call our office at: 970-488-5000.  We look forward to seeing you and your children!

Please watch for a communication on Monday about what a typical remote learning day will look like.

Thank you for your continued support!
