Preparing Today's Child for Tomorrow's World

Healthy Kids 5210+ Challenge

February 1st begins the Healthy Kids 5210+ Challenge. The challenge supports eating fruits and vegetables, 2 hours or less of screen time, 1 hour or more of physical activity, zero sugary drinks, and 9 or more hours of sleep. ALL students received Student Tracking Log for home. All results are submitted online between February 28th and March 4th.

This program is an effective way to improve our health by “racking up the points” to improve our lifestyle and maybe win Johnson a little money. If you have photos of your little Thunderbird participating in sports or healthy activities (hiking, biking, sports, raking leaves, or snow shoveling) please send to jrumbold@psdschools.org. I post these on the “Beyond the Nest” bulletin board.
