Husky Choir

Husky Choir is for any 4th-5th grader at Johnson who loves to sing, practice, and perform. Choir members will need to commit to weekly practices for the entire choir year – October – April with a break in January. Choir members are expected to practice Husky PRIDE, follow directions, and work as a team. Above all, members should strive for improvement in their singing and music skills as individuals and for the whole ensemble.

Practices are held every Monday from 7:45 to 8:32 a.m. for 4th and 5th graders except for scheduled days off from the school calendar and cancellation and/or delay days. Students need to enter from the outside music door (located near the K-2 playground) for all practices. Practices will begin Monday, October 3rd.

Attendance is mandatory should your child choose to participate, and punctuality is very important. Although I know unexpected events may happen and will of course be excused, please note that three unexcused absences or tardiness may result in your child being removed from choir. We will be following school district guidelines and procedures with practices and performances.
