5th grade is the pinnacle year at Johnson, and students have many opportunities to grow as they prepare for middle school. Having one's own locker is just part of the experience. 

Eco Days are one of the highlights of the year. It includes three days of field trips to natural areas in Northern Colorado. Some other highlights of the year include the Famous American project where the students research and present an important person from America’s history. Science learning includes space!  

In 5th grade, students have multiple extracurricular opportunities including student leadership (student council) and choir. Students end the year with many exciting activities including a promotion ceremony.
