In one word, first grade at Johnson is an EXPERIENCE. Our first graders spend their days as pirates, dalmatians, scientists, and mathematicians as they discover the world of learning around them. We believe reading is the foundation for all learning! In first grade, students will continue to develop their reading skills and love for learning with many cross-content activities and celebrations. First grade is an exciting time for learning independence as well as teamwork. Our first grade team thinks learning should be active, hands on, developmental, and inspire wonder and joy!
