Johnson’s school counseling program is based on the American School Counselor Association’s (ASCA) guidelines. Students receive support for their personal/social needs, career development, and academic planning and support. Additionally, the Johnson school counseling program focuses on a comprehensive character education and violence prevention program that is developmentally appropriate and timely throughout all grade levels. Mr. Allen is also a strong proponent of service learning and incorporates student mentoring and student-led projects into his classroom units.
