Preparing Today's Child for Tomorrow's World

Fourth Grade

4th grade is a year of learning and beginning leadership skills! As fourth graders they are introduced to many first time opportunities: choir, student council and Husky Television to name a few. We spend quite a bit of time learning about our great state of Colorado with a lot of hands-on activities and fun research projects! Science is also another fun hands - on time: making fossils, building electrical currents and exploring magnetism. In reading we address the standards through diving into poetry, research animal defense mechanisms, understanding the American Revolution and ratifying the 19th amendment. Our biggest math focus is around multiplication, division, and fractions and many other standards are addressed. We explore math doing 3 new lessons a week while having two review days to solidify the skills. We LOVE our 4th graders!4
