Eco Week - Supporting Our 5th Graders

Eco Week

The actual cost to our school this year for ECO week is just under $11,000. The actual cost to our school for each student is $225.00. You will see that we have labeled this cost as a donation rather than a fee. This cost is designated as a donation versus a district fee to allow all students the opportunity to go. We understand that $225.00 per student seems like a lot of money. The cost covers all meals, lodging, and activities for three days. We appreciate those who can pay their portion, but Johnson needs everyone’s help!!

To raise money for the ECO Days opportunity, we have planned fundraising efforts:

Hat Day Fridays for $1.00: Any student who wants to wear a hat to school all day can pay $1.00. Each dollar raised goes towards ECO Days

Kona Ice Days: We had an opportunity for families to pre-pay for their child to enjoy Kona Ice on August 23rd while at school. All proceeds from that sale and all future Kona Ice Days will go to fund ECO Days.

Glow Dance Party: We hope to have a Glow Dance Party soon. Students will attend a Glow Dance Party as a fundraiser for ECO Days. Again, more information to follow.

*These fundraising ideas will continue raising as much as possible for everyone’s annual ECO week experience! Thanks to everyone who have already helped with Eileen’s Cookies sales, Book Fair, and Family Fun Night concessions. We are off to a great start!
